If you are interested in facial aesthetics treatment, first arrange a consultation with a medical aesthetics doctor.

If you already have a clear idea of a particular area you would like to treat, or simply want to know more, your doctor will explain your options and can tailor a personalised treatment plan for you. There is no obligation to book a treatment.

Complete this simple, online questionnaire to help identify your goals and the areas you would like to address and create a visual profile to take to your appointment.

Take the option to add your photos to the questionnaire. It helps your aesthetic doctor to see different expressions. eg. smiling or frowning.

Once you’ve had your consultation and decided to have a facial aesthetics treatment, each appointment can take 30 minutes to an hour. Some dermal fillers include an anaesthetic which can help reduce any discomfort you may feel during treatment.

Results can be visible shortly after treatment. There may be some redness or swelling around the injection sites. There is minimal down time after your injection, please check with your doctor for aftercare advice.

Before making an appointment, think about asking some of these questions during your consultation:

Check IT: Tell me more about your training and experience? You should only be injected by a trained and qualified medical aesthetic doctor who can confidently tell you about his or her experience and talk you through the consultation.
See IT: Can I see examples of your work? Ask to see before/after photos of patients that your doctor has treated. Also ask to see photos of patients who they have helped to achieve a similar look.
Know IT: Which brand of products do you use? Ask them which brand they use and why. You should only be injected with approved dermal fillers or anti-wrinkle injections that have been made by a reputable manufacturer.
Understand IT: What treatment do I need to get the look I want? Can you explain my treatment plan? Your doctor should tie your response back to the emotional attributes of your desired look (i.e. the ‘look’ you want rather than focusing on specific ‘lines’). A good doctor will tell you if your desired look is possible and should recommend you a treatment plan. The plan should also include treatment costs to ensure everything is clear upfront.

Your doctor will work with you to create a treatment plan based on your personal aesthetic goals. Find out more about the consultation process or locate your nearest clinic here.
